Faisaliah Tower in Orange
As a sign of the excellent relationship between the two kingdoms: Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands the Faisaliah tower turned into the color orange for a few days during the Holland Food Festival, which took place in November this year, in the garden restaurant of the Al Khozama Hotel, in close cooperation with the Netherlands Embassy.
For this occasion a Dutch atmosphere with decorated wooden clogs and demonstration of a genuine clog maker was created. The Faisaliah Tower illuminated the evenings of Riyadh with an orange glow. The color orange has royal roots in the Netherlands, today it symbolizes a broader pride in the country and in being Dutch. |
